Future Energy Professionals Program was established to encourage and support students to become future energy professionals who pursue STEM Centric degrees which fuel our world. This LAGCOE program is supported by the LAGCOE Education Fund, a Fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana.
Beginning with the Future Energy Professionals program, high school juniors and seniors are given the chance to learn about the energy industry while touring LAGCOE's biennial technical exposition & conference with a Young Professionals of LAGCOE (YPL) volunteer and a Louisiana university/college senior for a hands-on experience with the technology and mechanics of the oil and gas industry.
LAGCOE’s Future Energy Professional Tours occurred on Thursday, October 10 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center during LAGCOE 2019. All the participants after the tour, received information about our scholarship applications to a two-year or four-year Louisiana school to tour participants who wish to pursue STEM-related field of study after high school.
