Remembering Sally Watkins Ware, Longtime Lagcoe Executive Director

Lagcoe mourns the passing of Sally Watkins Ware, a longtime Executive Director whose decades of leadership helped shape the organization and its legacy within the energy industry.

Sally began her career with Lagcoe in 1980 and rose through the organization to serve as Executive Director, a position she held until her retirement in 2011. During her tenure, she played an important role in the growth and development of Lagcoe and its connection to the energy industry in Lafayette and beyond.

For more than three decades, Sally brought dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to Lagcoe. Her influence can be seen in the organization she helped build and in the many industry professionals, volunteers, colleagues, and community members with whom she worked throughout her career.

Sally’s leadership is an important part of Lagcoe’s history, and we are grateful for the years she devoted to our organization and our energy community.

Lagcoe extends its deepest condolences to Sally’s family, friends, former colleagues, and all who knew and worked alongside her.
