Lagcoe Selects Miles Perret Cancer Services as Beneficiary of Roux Fest 2026 Proceeds
Lafayette, La. — [February 3, 2026] Lagcoe announced today that its Board of Directors has selected Miles Perret Cancer Services as the beneficiary to receive a portion of the proceeds from Roux Fest 2026, Lagcoe’s signature community gumbo cook-off and fundraising event.
The decision reflects Lagcoe’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations that make a meaningful and lasting impact in Acadiana. Miles Perret Cancer Services provides comprehensive support to individuals and families affected by cancer, offering services at no cost to clients.
“Roux Fest is more than a celebration of Louisiana culture, it’s an opportunity to give back to the community that supports us year after year,” said Fumy Rita, Executive Director of Lagcoe. “The Lagcoe Board of Directors was proud to select Miles Perret Cancer Services as this year’s beneficiary because of the critical role they play in supporting families during some of their most difficult moments.”
Roux Fest 2026 will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette. The annual event brings together industry professionals, community members, and local cook teams to celebrate Louisiana cuisine, culture, and connection, while raising funds to support Lagcoe’s educational, workforce development, and community initiatives.
