Junior League of Lafayette Awards $2,000 Grant to Support Lagcoe’s STEM Event for Middle School Girls

Lafayette, LA — October 14, 2025 — Lagcoe is excited to announce that the Junior League of Lafayette (JLL) has awarded a $2,000 grant to support an upcoming STEM and energy education event for middle school girls. The funding will be used to purchase all materials and supplies for the hands-on learning activities featured during the event.

The initiative aims to spark curiosity and confidence in young girls by exposing them to science, technology, engineering, and math concepts through fun, interactive experiments centered around energy and innovation.

“We are deeply grateful to the Junior League of Lafayette for their generosity and partnership,” said Fumy Rita, Executive Director of Lagcoe. “As both a proud League member and advocate for energy education, this collaboration is especially meaningful. Together, we’re creating opportunities for girls to explore STEM and discover the power of their potential.”
