ASK AMERICA at ADIPEC 2017: 180+ U.S. Exhibitors Look to Initiate and Strengthen Industry Partnerships

Nov 08, 2017 / News

LAGCOE, in partnership with Louisiana Economic Development (LED), Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA), and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, will be exhibiting as “Louisiana IS Energy” at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2017, November 13-16 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, in Booth #7413, within the USA Partnership Pavilion, organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., in coordination with numerous government agencies, including the departments of Commerce and State.

The main purpose of the booth is to help Louisiana companies enter into the middle east and global energy markets. The following companies will be co-exhibiting in the LAGCOE booth: Advance Products & Systems, GeoDynamics, M&M International and Oil Center Research International, L.L.C.

Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. and Waldwick, N.J. / November 7, 2017 — U.S. energy production, equipment and services companies competing for oil & gas business in the Middle East and around the world will look to strengthen trade, innovation and workforce partnerships with buyers and influencers attending the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2017, November 13-16 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The annual event, the region’s largest and most diversified oil & gas business gathering, is expected to draw some 100,000 trade professionals from 135 countries , including 2,200 exhibitors. Chief among them, the United States will present 180-plus exhibitors, among the largest international contingents at the show.

The centerpiece of the American national effort is the new 3,000 sqm USA Partnership Pavilion, organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., in coordination with numerous government agencies, including the departments of Commerce and State. The 2017 show is Kallman’s eighth consecutive edition organizing Americans at ADIPEC and first under the new “USA Partnership Pavilion” banner, which President and CEO Tom Kallman says, reflects a global trend.

“Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork,” said Kallman. “The new USA Partnership Pavilion sharpens our focus on helping advance America’s national interests and security by building stronger relationships with our international customers. Many of our exhibitors — from publicly traded stalwarts to small- and medium-sized enterprises [SMEs] with fewer than 500 employees — already have significant business partnerships and operations in the region. In the years to come, many more will.”

Located prominently in Halls 7 and 8, the Pavilion is a full-service business destination: an efficient location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, an on-site operations center for American exhibitors to maximize their exposure and impact at the show, and a networking hub for all to share ideas and insights.

The 112 exhibitors in the Pavilion represent 23 states, all looking to generate new business and create more jobs back home by growing exports, expanding in-region operations and/or recruiting overseas partners to establish or participate in U.S.-based operations. Five Pavilion exhibitors are new to market, 22 are new to the show.

Notably, the state of Louisiana, exhibiting as LAGCOE, has organized its own state-branded pavilion — featuring state-based co-exhibitors — within the larger U.S. space.

In addition to space on site, USA Partnership Pavilion exhibitors are featured in Kallman’s online ADIPEC Visitor Zone at kallman.com/adipec-2017. The Visitor Zone features a centerpiece searchable Pavilion directory, plus interactive tools to help trade professionals around the world plan ahead and follow up, even if they can’t go to the show.

To heighten awareness and interest in Pavilion exhibitors, Kallman is introducing new content and thought-leadership initiatives at the show to “inform and inspire” the exhibitor-visitor conversation:

  • On his first trip to the UAE, Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot, Col. Al Worden, USAF-Ret., will make his first ever appearance at ADIPEC 2017 as a guest of Kallman Worldwide in partnership with show organizers dmg events. Among his many personal appearances during the week, Worden will be a featured speaker at the show’s Middle East Petroleum Club on Wednesday, November 15, and he will address the Young ADIPEC FORUM on Thursday, November 16.
  • The Newsstand, an on-site information center adjacent to the Meeting Point Exhibitors Lounge, features a live, scrolling display of real-time show and market headlines on a centerpiece flat-screen monitor, flanked by take-away publications from the industry’s top publishers.

In addition to these “conversation starters,” Kallman will promote exhibitors with its “Ask America” on-site advocacy campaign during the show. The message will be placed prominently around the USA Partnership Pavilion, integrated into hospitality and VIP events during the show, advertised in show daily publications and highlighted in social media (follow on Twitter @kallmanEWC).

“The United States is one of the biggest international exhibitors at ADIPEC because it’s one of the world's biggest industry suppliers, but that’s no guarantee buyers will look to work with American companies over others,” said Kallman. “As the organizer of the USA Partnership Pavilion, we have a responsibility to advocate not only for our exhibitors, but for our nation in this highly competitive global marketplace.

“We want every show visitor to ‘Ask America,’ and to be confident that we are listening,” he said. “There should be no question that the United States oil & gas industry is committed to international trade and investment. We bring smart technologies and ideas to the table, and we have the most skilled professionals ready to do the work.”
