Oct 20, 2015

Times are tough to those who make a living from the fossil fuel industry, but O&G prospects and professionals will have a free opportunity to scope out jobs and network at the 2015 LAGCOE Career Fair next week.

The event will take place in Lafayette’s Cajundome Convention Center October 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Recruiters from hiring companies will be present and looking for jobseekers for a variety of positions and experience, The Advertiser reports.

The Career Fair will feature resume reviews, free professional headshots, and career development sessions. The event will also feature presentations from speakers including Jason Lopez, whose presentation "The 5 steps to Supercharging and Building your Oil and Gas Career” outlines tips, techniques and strategies he’s gained during his more than 15 years in the industry.

Other speakers will include Sue Schleifer, a career coach who will present "Staying Motivated During Your Job Search,” and Danielle M. Dayries, owner of DMD & Associates, Inc. career consulting firm, who will present "Resume Workshop: Can Your Resume Pass the 10 Second Test.”
