On July 9, 2024, join the Professionals of Lagcoe and Lagcoe's Junior Volunteers for the Little Energizers program at the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana - Granberry Unit. This initiative aims to educate and inspire young minds about different types of energy while fostering an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers. Through interactive activities and engaging presentations, children will enjoy a hands-on learning experience about various forms of energy, including renewable and non-renewable sources. We are still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us in having fun while teaching the kids and sharing insights into exciting STEM careers. PoL gearing up for more webinars
The Professionals of Lagcoe successfully hosted their first webinar on May 21, featuring JP Warren discussing "Mindset & Imposter Syndrome." JP Warren, founder of Energy Crüe, led an insightful session on understanding imposter syndrome, identifying its symptoms, and providing tools to combat it. The session concluded with an engaging discussion, allowing participants to share experiences and strategies for overcoming imposter syndrome in their professional lives.
Building on this successful event, the Professionals of Lagcoe are preparing upcoming webinars on a variety of topics, including artificial intelligence (AI), work-life balance, ethics, exercising, and nutrition. These sessions aim to continue providing valuable insights and networking opportunities for participants. LEDA CEO & President joins the Little Energizers
Lafayette Economic Development Authority President and CEO, Mandi Mitchell, recently joined the Professionals of Lagcoe to deliver the Little Energizers Program at Dr. Raphael Baranco Elementary on May 21, 2024. This initiative, made possible by generous donations from LEDA, the Stuller Family Foundation, and the Pinhook Foundation, aimed to ignite curiosity and educate children about STEM careers and energy.
The Little Energizers program engage elementary school students through interactive activities and presentations focused on energy-related topics. With hands-on demonstrations, the program instills a sense of wonder and appreciation for various forms of energy, including renewable and non-renewable sources. Mandi Mitchell’s participation highlighted LEDA’s commitment to fostering STEM education and community development. Her involvement, alongside the Professionals of Lagcoe, ensured that students at Dr. Raphael Baranco Elementary received a unique and enriching learning experience, showcasing the diverse opportunities available in STEM fields and the energy industry.
