WHAT IS LAGCOE'S FUTURE ENERGY PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE ALL ABOUT?
Future Energy Professionals Program was established to encourage and support students to become future energy professionals who pursue technical positions which fuel our world. This LAGCOE program is supported by the LAGCOE Education Fund, a Fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana.
Beginning with LAGCOE 2013, Young Professionals of LAGCOE volunteers teamed up with UL-Lafayette Engineering Ambassadors to introduce high school juniors and seniors interested in STEM majors to the energy industry through an organized tour of LAGCOE's technical exposition & conference. High school students learned about the energy industry while touring the exposition for a hands-on experience with the technology and mechanics of the oil and gas industry.
Natalie Guillot, FEP Committe Chairman tells us what being a part of this committee means to her, her career and her community. "Knowing that I have been a part of something so much bigger than myself has left me yearning for more. FEP has tapped into my passion for STEM, all the while providing students with a place to learn about the many facets of the oil and gas Industry."
