LAGCOE 2019 ANNOUNCES CONFERENCE SPEAKERS AND SESSION TRACKS

Aug 13, 2019

LAFAYETTE, LA (August 12, 2019) – LAGCOE leadership has released the schedule of sessions and speakers for its 2019 Technical Exposition and Conference, scheduled for October 9-11 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The theme for LAGCOE 2019 is the Future of Energy Starts Here. It was chosen to emphasize the profound and exciting changes that are shaping and will continue to shape oil and gas in the future. It also points to the important role the energy corridor of South Louisiana will continue to have in helping to drive the industry forward. Conference sessions are organized by three program tracks: Technical, Non-Technical and International. A fourth track exclusive to industry executives is also being offered for the first time this year. More information about the C-Suite Conference Program is available on the LAGCOE 2019 website.

Over the course of three days, more than 60 industry experts will be presenting on the most critical issues facing oil and gas today.

The full list of speakers can be found here.

Some of the exciting topics that will be covered include: John Dribus of Dribus Geologic Consulting speaking about The Evolution of Exploration, Recent Significant Global Deepwater Discoveries, and the Look Forward; Robert C. Turnham, Jr. of Goodrich Petroleum Corporation speaking about The Haynesville Renaissance; and Dennis Cutcher of Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environment Enforcement speaking about SAFE Chart Evolution and Future Development. We are very excited for these speakers and the many more that will be sharing their expertise.

“With the many changes our industry has faced over the years, an event like this is more important than ever,” said Greg Stutes, LAGCOE chairman of the board. “LAGCOE 2019 will be focused on building and preparing for the future while still applying the hard-earned expertise of South Louisiana’s many decades at the forefront of the energy industry,” he said.
